Samsung Galaxy J6 2018 32 GB Specifications
Introduction and Performance
The smartphone giant Samsung has released its another affordable phone, Samsung Galaxy J6. This phone is supposedly the most affordable one to come with infinity display and aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Although the phone does not have predecessors, it is said to have similar features of
Samsung Galaxy J5 and other handsets from the On series. The Samsung Galaxy J6 price range is set keeping the affordability in mind; however, the phone doesn’t seem to be compromising on any of the features.
The phone comes powered by the octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC, Samsung’s most preferred chip set for devices on a budget. There is an ARM Mali-T830 MP1 GPU too. The phone has a plastic body instead of an aluminium one, sports a sleek and robust design, and is available in Black, Gold, and Blue colors. The presence of the infinite display moves the fingerprint sensor to the back of the phone, with no buttons present in the front.
The phone is an excellent choice for people who use their phone for mid-level activities.
Camera and Storage
Talking about the optics, the phone comes with single rear and front cameras. At the back is a 13 MP camera, which can pull off pretty good pictures in good lighting. And, the front has an 8 MP camera. Both the front and rear cameras come with flash. The camera app on the phone features like beauty mode, stickers, continuous shot, and others.
The phone comes with two storage options- 32 GB storage with 3 GB and 64 GB storage with 4 GB RAM. The storage is expandable up to 256 GB using a microSD card, and the phone comes with a dedicated card slot for that.
Battery and Display
The phone packs a 3000 mAH Li-ion battery which will last you a day with average use. The phone doesn’t support a quick charge, so it can take a while to charge it to 100%. Also, the phone lacks auto-brightness control which in some cases leads to the fast discharge of the battery.
Samsung’s Super AMOLED screen with Gorilla glass protection is what you get with this smartphone. The screen has an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and pixel resolution of 720x1480. The option of adaptive display adjusts the settings to the surrounding, but there is no ambient light sensor, so you will have to change the brightness yourself. The resolution is not full HD, but the phone’s display is still very good for viewing video content and other such uses.
Connectivity and Platform
The phone has dual SIM card slots, both of which support Nano SIMs. The phone has a dedicated slot for microSD, so you do not have to sacrifice on using two SIMs. WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, FM radio, etc. are some of the main connectivity options available. Talking about the software, the phone runs the Samsung Experience 9.0 UI on Android 8.0 Oreo.
