Nokia 6 Specifications
HMD Global, the company who owns the iconic Nokia brand currently, made their entry into the Android Smartphone market with the Nokia 6. The phone hit the shelves in India in August 2017. The familiar design of the iconic Finnish brand coupled with stock Android with regular updates proves to be a highly attractive choice.
Take a closer look at the impressive features and specifications of Nokia 6.
What to Expect?
• Design and Display
The Nokia 6 is a brilliantly designed mid-range Android phone that stands out in a sea of similar looking models. Made from 6000 series aluminium, the Nokia 6 looks and feels robust and premium. The build is quite sturdy and is sure to last for a long time, withstanding minor slips and falls.
The matte finish is sleek and doesn’t attract fingerprints easily. At the back, you can find the familiar Nokia vertical branding, and the rear camera has a chrome casing. If you’re looking for a phone that can withstand the wear and tear of daily use, then Nokia 6 is a safe bet.
When it comes to the display the Nokia 6 sports a 5.5” Full-HD IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen has a 2.5D curved glass with a Corning Gorilla Glass protector. Additionally, the display also has a polariser layer on top to reduce glare and to improve sunlight visibility.
Accurate colour reproduction, adequate brightness, sharp text, wide viewing angles and vivid images are some of the pros of the display.
• Hardware and Performance
The Snapdragon 430 processor powers the Nokia 6. The 3GB RAM handles everyday tasks with ease, without any noticeable delays or lags. The Snapdragon 430 chipset also handles multitasking, graphics-intense games with aplomb.
The device comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded to 128GB using a microSD card. The Nokia 6 flaunts Dolby Atmos sound enhancement feature, which renders clear and loud audio output. The home button also doubles up as the fingerprint sensor.
• Camera Specs and Performance
The Nokia 6 has a 16MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, phase detection auto-focus and dual LED flash. The photos you click in daylight capture every tiny detail and have a good contrast ratio. The dual LED flash ensures that your images don’t have much noise, even in low-lighting conditions.
The 8MP selfie camera helps you click picture perfect selfies. Other features of the camera are HDR, Panorama, and a manual mode that allows you to configure exposure, white balance, metering and so on.
When it comes to video, the Nokia 6 can record videos at 1080p at 30fps. Just like the camera, the videos also capture vivid colours and pleasant contrast.
• Software, UI, and Apps
The Nokia 6 comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box, with periodic updates. Also, the makers HMD Global have announced that all their Nokia range of phones will get the Android Oreo update, as soon as it’s available.
The Nokia 6 offers users with pure Android experience, and you can find that Google Photos, Google Assistant, and other prime Google apps come preloaded on the device. Additionally, you can opt for custom icons to personalise your device.
• Battery Life
The Nokia 6 packs in a powerful battery of 3000 mAh, which easily lasts for a full day and even more than that. The battery takes around two hours to go from 0 to 100% charge.
