Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company headquartered in Guangdong, China. It is the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world, having overtaken Ericsson in 2012. It was established in 1987 and was focused on manufacturing phone switches back then. But has since expanded its business to include: building telecommunications networks; providing operational and consulting services and equipment to enterprises inside and outside of China; and manufacturing communications devices for the consumer market.
What makes Huawei different is their research and development team. They have over 170,000 employees, around 76,000 of whom are engaged in research and development. They have R&D institute present in 21 countries around the globe. They have presence in more than 140 countries and they are world’s 5th largest telecom operators. Huawei Honor also known as just ‘Honor’ is a sub-brand of Huawei. It basically focuses on smartphones and is exclusive to online markets. This series consist of mobile computing devices designed, manufactured and marketed by Huawei. The product line includes medium to high-end smartphones, tablets, phablets and smart watches. Usually, all the devices manufactured by Huawei have Android as their operating system and are normally produced by Open Handset Alliance led by Google.
Their first phone was launched in 2014 and was named Huawei Honor 6. It had long battery life, 5.0 inch screen, 13MP rear and 5MP secondary camera. Huawei launched its successor in 2015. It was called Huawei Honor 7. It has 5.2 inch touch screen display, fall-proof metal body, 20MP primary and 8MP secondary camera. Recently, in July 2016, they launched Huawei Honor 8. It is by far the best phone by the company. It has 5.73 inches screen, 12MP duel camera, metal body and glass back, 300 mAh battery and is packed with a few more amazing features.
