What is Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF)?
GOSF is an initiative by Google India to create awareness and promote online shopping in India. During GOSF, Google ties up with several e-Commerce sites in India to provide users with heavy deals and discounts. The concept is similar to ‘Cyber Monday’ and ‘China Shopping Festival’. Consumers are offered several discounts on products ranging from Mobiles, Tablets, Laptops, Fashion Apparels, Furniture, Travel and more.
Google picks interesting dates for its GOSF event. The event was first launched on 12-12-12 (12th December 2012), whereas in 2013 it started on 11-12-13 (11th December).
