ZTE launched the Nubia Z17S with whopping 8 GB RAM. And to keep it a company, the company also released a baby variant called the Z17 mini S. Much like its sibling, the Z17 mini S features a metal frame sandwiched in glass panels.
The phone features a compact 5.2-inch Full HD screen. It is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 653 SoC (System on Chip). The device has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
The Nubia Z17 mini S comes with a dual 13 MP camera on the back. The main sensor is conventional RGB, while the other one is a monochrome tasked with capturing depth information. It boasts of OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) for better low-light performance. The phone can record 4K video at 30 fps. Selfie addicts need not worry, as ZTE offers a 16 MP front-facing camera accompanied by a 5 MP depth sensor.
The phone uses a fingerprint sensor for secure login. The smartphone is compatible with 4G VoLTE networks. The phone supports dual-channel Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and NFC. Since the processor is not very power hungry, a 3200 mAh battery seems more than enough for the handset.
The Nubia Z17 mini S ships with Android Nougat with ZTE customisation on top. Much like the bigger and more powerful variant, the Nubia Z17 mini S comes in black and blue. Available for 1999 yuan (approx Rs 19,735), the handset is up for pre-order in China starting today.
