ZTE is one of the biggest telecom equipment company in the world. But, it hasn’t really cracked the smartphone market. It has been developing a few interesting handsets under Nubia brand though. Taking things forward, ZTE has unveiled a power-packed Nubia Z17S. It looks every bit as premium as devices from Samsung and HTC. The company claims that it is made from aviation grade aluminum alloys.
The phone features a 5.7-inch screen with 2040×1080, often referred to as Full HD. Nubia has gone all out in the chipset department. The phone is backed by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC (System on Chip). It comes in 6 GB / 8 GB RAM variants.
The Nubia Z17S features a dual-lens camera in 12 MP + 23 MP configuration. The optics come from the Japanese company Sony. Nubia isn’t taking selfie craze lightly either as the phone sports a dual-camera assembly on the front as well.
The Nubia Z17S is up on pre-order in China and will start shipping on 19th of October. The 6 GB variant with 64 GB internal storage is priced at 2999 yuan (approx Rs 30,000). The top-end 8 GB RAM model is set to cost 3999 yuan (Rs 40,000).
