Zaap, a maker of audio accessories, has launched the Zaap Aqua Xtreme – a pair of wireless earphones at Rs. 2,949. Zaap is among the newest brands to have entered the already crowded headphone and wireless speakers’ market. Zaap, founded three years ago, has been gaining strong traction and following due to its competitive pricing and a good list of product features.

The Zaap Aqua Xtreme wireless earphones is water resistant as it has a rating of IPX7. It enables the earphones to withstand damage in case of exposure to water up to a depth of 1m for around 30 minutes.

The Zaap Aqua Xtreme sports a Nano-X coating to ensure that the protection against damage from water is enhanced. Due to its resistance to water, it is ideal for users when they work out or carry it with them in wet weather. It is also useful when they have listening session at the seaside or at the pool. The earphones can be bought online and offline. Amazon is offering the earphones at a price of Rs. 2,499.

The wireless earphones are equipped with connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.1. It is also equipped with a Qualcomm CSR Bluetooth chipset that also supports the aptX Bluetooth codec and the Qualcomm-developed CVC 6.0 noise cancellation technology for voice calls. The Aqua Xtreme comes with a battery of capacity 90mAh. The device offers up to 9 hours of use on a single charge. The earphones offer dedicated volume control buttons. The earphone comes with a multi-function button that controls power, call functions, and playback.

Zaap Aqua Xtreme is hoping to cater to fitness enthusiasts and outdoor-focused music enthusiasts. Blaupunkt has also launched a similar product recently. It is called the BE-10 Floatz which is also IPX7-rated and comes with a price tag of Rs. 2,499.
