YU Yureka 2 Challenges The Redmi Note 4 With A Killer Price Tagby Ajinkya September 15, 2017
Micromax’s subsidiary YU was off to a great start. However, we haven’t heard much from it recently. The launch of YU Yureka Black and its dismal sales didn’t help the situation at all. Now in a bid to outrun the bad patch, the company has launched YU Yureka 2. This time around, the stars seem to be aligning for success, as the handset looks quite promising. We believe that it can even take on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
The Yureka 2 is competitively priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB variant. It goes on sale in India exclusively via Flipkart during the Big Billion Days sale starting on September 20.
The phone features a metal body construction. It has a rear fingerprint sensor. It is powered by the tried-and-tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa core chipset to handle the work load. Yu has definitely done its homework right this time around. What’s even impressive is that despite matching the specifications of the Note 4, YU’s handset undercuts Xiaomi’s pricing by Rs 1000.
The YU Yureka sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved display. it offers a 16 MP rear camera and an 8 MP selfie shooter. The on-board 64 GB storage can be expanded further via the hybrid microSD card slot which can take cards up to 128 GB. It is a dual-SIM handset with 4G VoLTE support. In terms of software, it runs Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
Other features include Bluetooth v4.0, Dual band Wi-Fi, A-GPS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and micro USB port. The phone packs-in a 3930 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
