A good free email service offers a decent amount of storage space, has a quick and a user-friendly interface and provides you with the best level of security. However, even though all of these email clients offer you the most satisfactory service, not all of them can be tagged as ‘Best’. A few factors are responsible for largely differentiating one from the other.
How is Indian checking its E-mails?
Recently, Logicserve Group rolled out a poll to find out the most popular E-mail service among Indians. The result seemed to be quite predictable. Gmail was undoubtedly the clear winner with a whopping 86.25 % of the total votes. Next to follow was Yahoo Mail, lagging by a million miles at just 4.24 % votes. Hotmail which was once tagged as the most popular web-based email client now moves down to the third position with 3.2 % votes.
Why That Difference?
What makes Gmail the winner is its simple but a smart interface and of course, a large amount of storage space. Yahoo is best known for its effective Spam filter that keeps away all the junk from your inbox. Hotmail which is now replaced by Outlook.com offers much needed assistance when composing a mail and organizing the same. However, with all being said, Gmail still remains the favourite owing to its highly interactive and easy-to-use interface.
How Do Indians Access Their Mails?
48.18 % of the total poll participants use their desktops to access their mails, while 40.39 % prefer a laptop. Only 06.09 % use their mobile followed by 04.21 % of the tablet users.
Gmail emerges as the most popular email service provider in India for it provides an intuitive user interface. Nonetheless, that’s not stopping the Indian audience from switching to another email client. Who knows? A few years down the line, you might probably see another king reign over the ’email mania’.
