The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi, has recently launched a new wireless power bank in the Indian market. However, there is one thing to note that there are no smartphones available in India from Redmi or Mi that support wireless charging. The first in the segment, Mi 10, is set to be introduced to the world on March 27. The brand said in a statement that this Mi Wireless Powerbank will be compatible with all the Qi-supporting devices. It’s only last month when Redmi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, launched a range of power banks. Mi Wireless power bank will come with 10,000 mAh capacity.

Mi Wireless Powerbank: Specs and features

Mi focused to build this power bank as a light-weight backup and will sport lithium-ion polymer battery. The power bank is equipped with a range of protective features such as over current, metal object detection, short-circuit, over-heating, overcharging and discharging, thermal shutdown, etc. There will be also an LED indicator located beside the charging port.

The I/O on this wireless power bank will have one USB-A output and USB-C input port and it will support 18W fast charging. On the wireless mode, the power bank will give 10W charging speed. The Qi-enabled smartphones such as Google Pixel series, Galaxy S9 and above, iPhone 8 and above, etc., will be compatible with this power bank. You can charge up to two devices simultaneously while the power bank is also plugged-in.
