Xiaomi launched Mi Band 4 in China in July 2019. The band was available in the Indian market from September. Xiaomi is continuously providing minor updates to its Mi Band series without any incremental price surge. There are some leaks from trusted sources that claim that the tech mogul is already working on Mi Band 5. There are multiple hints from where we can easily expect what to get in the upcoming addition. According to TizenHelp, the Mi Band 5 will sport a bigger display along with NFC support on its global variant. The Mi Band 4 comes with NFC support but sadly, that’s only limited to the Chinese users.

Some more expectations…

The global NFC support is hinting towards the support of multiple payment apps such as Google Pay, and many more. The fitness band will feature a 1.2-inches OLED display in comparison to the 0.95-inch display on the Mi Band 4.

 

Earlier to these leaks, the aiding company Huami confirmed the Mi Band 5 project and there are also some speculations regarding the pricing. Mi Band 5 is expected to be available at RMB 179, which translates to around ₹1,800.

Features and pricing of Mi Band 4

The last year’s version, Mi Band 4 came with a 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen. The band was also equipped with a heart rate sensor, step counter, sleep monitoring, etc. The band is also water-resistant up to 5ATM along with tracking the swimming data as well.

 

Apart from these fitness features, Mi Band 4 also offers music controls, notifications, answering and rejecting calls, etc. The company claims to offer the battery life up to 20 days on a full charge.
