Black Shark, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, launched 2 variants, Standard and Pro of Black Shark 2 in May and July 2019, respectively. The company has planned to launch the new Black Shark 3 in an online event in China on March 3. This upcoming smartphone was also seen on 3C certification a few days ago. Black Shark also revealed its partnership with Tencent Games last month. The smartphone will boast of the first 5G Gaming smartphone and the hardware components are also expected to be upgraded.

Black Shark 3: Key specs and features

The certification website revealed that the smartphone will feature 65W fast charging and will be powered by a 5000 mAh battery. It’s only the last week when there was a poll conducted on Weibo by CEO Iuo Yuzhuo regarding the best battery combination. The combination of 5000 mAh+65W got the majority of the votes. The charging tech that will be used by Black Shark will charge the phone from 0-100% in just 38 minutes.

 

Black Shark 3 was also spotted on Geekbench. It also revealed the Snapdragon 865 5G paired with 12 gigs of RAM, and Android 10 out of the box. If we believe the rumors, the smartphone will be the first to come with a whopping 16 gigs RAM. In further specifications, Black Shark 3 is also expected to have a 120 Hz refresh rate on a Quad HD or 2K display panel. The users will be able to customize the refresh rate and set it to 60, 90, or 120 Hz and can also lower down the resolution to 1080p.
