The 16000mAh Mi Bank was first released in China way back in November 2014. However, the 5000mAh variant went on sale last month in countries like US, UK, Germany and France. India is now added to the list.

Sporting an anodised aluminium finish, the 16000mAh Power Bank variant features 2 USB 2.0 ports, a Micro-USB port and gives a maximum output of 5.1V/3.6A. It can charge up to 2 devices at once. With dimensions of 145 x 60.4 x 22mm, it weighs around 350 grams and is capable of delivering a conversion rate of 93 percent. Based on the claims made by Xiaomi, the power bank can charge a 3100mAh battery almost 3 times, which is truly impressive.

The 5000mAh variant, on the other hand, comes with a single USB 2.0 port and a Micro-USB port. With a dimension of 125 x 69 x 9.9mm, this one is just 156 grams heavy and offers almost the same conversation rate as the 16000mAh variant. It can provide one full charge for the 3100mAh battery.

With an intention to bring in some more excitement, Xiaomi on its Facebook page announced a voting contest to be held on the company website where participants will have to vote for 1 out of the 2 power banks. The one with the maximum number of votes will be the first one to go on sale on June 9.
