According to the official announcement, the latest POCO smartphone will be launched on April 21 at noon. The smartphone is said to be a facelifted version of POCO M2, it was launched last year in September. After the launch at noon, POCO M2 Reloaded is expected to go on sale on the same date by 3PM through the e-commerce platform Flipkart. The launch page of the latest POCO phone is live on Flipkart website and app.

In the brand’s complete lineup, POCO M2 is seen to be the best performing smartphone in terms of sales. In January ’21, the brand claimed to sell a whopping 1 million units of POCO M2. While the brand has also launched POCO M3 a couple of months ago, it dominated the month of March in terms of sales.

POCO M2 Reloaded: Expected specs & features

The e-commerce platform Flipkart has launched a microsite on its website and app with a sneak peek look of the smartphone. The design resembles quite a lot with the existing POCO M2. The microsite also confirms that the latest POCO smartphone will sport MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with 4 gigs of memory. The onboard storage will be 64GB. The details confirm its position below the existing POCO M2. The elder sibling comes in two options, 6+64GB and 6+128GB combination.

If we are to set the RAM and storage config away, the POCO M2 Reloaded will be highly similar with the existing POCO M2. Believing the rumors and leaks from trusted sources, POCO M2 Reloaded will come with a 6.53” LCD panel that will produce FHD+ resolution. The selfie camera will be housed in a water drop notch and the smartphone will be equipped with 18W fast charging. The expected battery capacity on POCO M2 Reloaded is 5,000 mAh.

There are also some speculations on the software front, some leaks indicate towards MIUI 12 based on Android 11. Coming to the optics, it is expected that the water-drop notch will house an 8-megapixel sensor. The quad-camera on the rear will house a primary 13MP sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, macro, and depth sensor of 5MP and 2MP, respectively. The latest offering from POCO might also come with a power button integrated FPS and a dedicated microSD card slot.

Pricing and availability

Though there is no official announcement on the pricing of the upcoming POCO M2 Reloaded, POCO M2 has seen a price change and is now available for ₹10,499 and ₹11,499 for 6+64GB and 6+128GB combination, respectively. Witnessing the position of the latest smartphone, it is expected that POCO will launch it at below-₹10,000 mark.
