Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro Set for China Launch on 16 March 2018

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched two of its most awaited phones Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India on 14th February. It was surprising that the devices went on sale online in India first instead of China but it made sense from business point of view considering the growth opportunity available in India. The company managed to sell 3 lakh+ units in just 3 minutes of flash sale online. And now the company is set to launch the device in its hometown later this month on 16 March as reported on their Weibo (Chinese social network) page. Although Xiaomi did not mention if both Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro will be launched on that day or just one, but its highly likely that we see the dual launch.

In terms of specifications, the devices will have same specs as in India except for the Google services.  For those who are unaware of the features,

Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with almost same set of features and looks very similar from front as that of Note 5. However, it looks a bit different when seen from the rear due to the presence of dual camera 12MP + 5MP. Another difference is that Note 5 Pro comes with 4GB and 6GB RAM with 64GB of native storage.

Both Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are recently made available offline in India by pre-booking with amount of Rs. 2000. The delivery will start from 8th March.
