Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker, has been rolling out its MIUI 10 Stable update across a lot of smartphones. The latest to join the list is the Redmi 6 Pro. Several users have reported through the Mi India forums that they have received the MIUI 10 update based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

This update empowers users with a full screen experience, new UI, natural sound system, AI pre-loading, Portrait mode for the front camera, and revamped Clock, Notes, and other system apps.

The Redmi 6 Pro is receiving the MIUI V10.0.1.0.0DMMIFH update as per the screenshots shared by users on MI India forums. It is an OTA software update and users are recommended to download it using a strong private Wi-Fi connection while their phone is being charged. As the installation may drain the battery of the phone, the users should ensure that it is at least 80% charged if the phone cannot be kept on charging while installing the update.

Xiaomi has not yet shared any official download manual for this new update. While there could be links available on unofficial sources, users are best advised against installing it from such sources. Users can keep checking the availability of the MIUI 10 Global Stable update on the Redmi 6 Pro by clicking the Setting Tab and going to About phone > System updates > Check for updates.

The Redmi 5A has also started receiving the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM update. At least 21 smartphones are set to receive the update in the second round of OTA updates facilitated by the company. Xiaomi has also rolled out the Android Pie-based MIUI 10 Open Beta update for the users of its Poco F1 smartphone.
