It has almost become a norm with Xiaomi these days that it builds up a huge anticipation and raises the expectancy levels among the customers before launching a new product. Every time, the company is about to launch a new product or announce the arrival of a flagship phone, the internet is brimmed with various rumours and specs leaks. It can either be a promotional gimmick or the rumour mills might be specifically targeting Xiaomi, we cannot pinpoint at that fact. However, what we can be certain about is that this leaks strategy has been working brilliantly for the company so far in creating hype about the product. The leaks raise the consumer’s expectation about the new product that is just around the corner waiting to woo them.
Whether you are a tech junkie or not, by now you must have read somewhere about the big launch event of the Xiaomi that is slated to be held on November 24. Speculations are rife that the phone maker is going to announce the arrival of its new flagship smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro along with Xiaomi Mi 5.
While there are no leaks on how the Mi 5 will look like, the official teaser posted on Weibo by the Xiaomi’s President, Lin Bin gives us a glimpse of or the rear side of the Note 2 Pro. The new flagship model which is the successor of the popular Redmi Note 2 (released last year) is all set to be mightier than its predecessor. The teaser image clearly shows that phone features a full metal body and has a finger print scanner right under the rear camera. However, apart from these details no other official information is available about the phone.
In terms of design and looks, the leaked image makes it pretty evident that the phone is going to have a very sleek body with rounded edges. The design of Redmi Note 2 Pro is somewhat similar to the design of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The new iteration of the Note 2 also features a dual LED flash.
Earlier a news leak that surfaced on the internet from the Chinese phone certification company, TEENA revealed about the hardware specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. According to the leaks mentioned on the TEENA website, the Note 2 Pro would feature a standard 5.5 inch screen with a display resolution of 1080 pixels. This information is not official and going by the reputation of Xiaomi for packing in brilliant quality display, this information must be taken with a pinch of salt. We can expect a far better display, considering its other models that have HD display.
According to other new leaks, it is speculated that the Note 2 Pro will be packed with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP camera on the front end. On the hardware front, the phone is slated to be powered by Mediatek MT6975 Helio X10 Chipset and 2GB RAM. Again, quite a mediocre specs according to the Xiaomi standards. The leaks also suggested that the phone will have a minimum 16 GB internal storage and will run on the MIUI operating system.
Lastly, as far as the pricing of the phone is concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is most likely to be priced at 1,099 Yuan, which is about Rs. 11, 300. When the Note 2 was released last year, it had created a huge buzz in the market and we are pretty sure that this new phone too will attract customers like flowers attract bees.
