The millions of Xiaomi smartphone users got their first official sneak-peak into the new Android based beta version of the MIUI 7 as Xiaomi announced the launch at an event held in Delhi on 19th August. The New MIUI7 comes with a slew of new improvements that not just makes the OS look more attractive and aesthetically appealing but also accentuates the smartphone’s performance. So without any further ado, let’s take a closer look at new features:
Bigger is better
The interface is meticulously designed to support large sized fonts so that you don’t have to strain your eyes to read the teeny-weeny texts on your high resolution mobile screens.
Savings, Savings, Savings
The MIUI 7 developers have been burning their mid-night oil to make the Xiaomi phones work faster and with this new OS, they have accomplished the task as with MIUI 7, Xiaomi smartphone users can be sure that their apps launch 30% faster than before. Not to mention, it also saves battery usage up to 10% as compared to the previous iteration.
Xiaomi developers have also integrated Opera Max into the new MIUI that promises 50% more data savings. This features works for all the apps that uses internet.
The MIUI 7 is as clever as a fox, ok, if that sounds as a hyperbole, it is certainly smarter than its previous version. The reason being, the new OS has the capacity to integrate with the Mi fitness band and it automatically triggers DND and disables it when you are awake.
It’s Showtime Baby
The new MIUI 7 guarantees superior user experience to all Xiaomi smartphone users, thanks to its all new feature, Showtime. This allows the MIUI account users to shoot short 5 second video clips that will show up as caller ID for all other MIUI users. The features along with the Baby Album will be first launched in India. The Baby Album features have the capacity to recognize faces and create a slide show.
Theme it right
One of the major highlights of this new version OS is its wide range of new default themes; it includes 4 themes – High Life, Ocean Breeze, Rose and Pink Blush. The new theme also features a full game on the lock screen. The daily lock screen also feature award winning photographs that keep changing every day.
