Xiaomi, the smartphone maker, has been making rapid strides in the smart TV segment as well. The company has teased on Weibo yesterday that it would soon be launching a new Mi TV in China. There were speculations that this will be a new Mi TV 4S series and it has now turned out to be true.

Xiaomi has launched its biggest Mi TV till date with the introduction of the 75-inch Mi TV 4S. The key features of the TV include a premium metal body, 4K HDR screen, and PatchWall UI with AI voice recognition.

The design of the Mi TV is elegant with the display being adorned by razor-thin bezels like the 65-inch model. The body of the TV is built out of aviation-grade aluminium, and brushed metal coated with a Silver-Grey metallic paint. The finishing gives the Mi TV 4S a premium look.

The 75-inch Mi TV 4S screen sports 4K Ultra HD resolution and is HDR-ready. The TV is very similar to the 65-inch Mi TV launched in India a while back. However, the hardware aspects are where the difference lies. It features the same 64-bit A53 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Storage is 8GB as compared to the Indian model that has 32GB memory. As for its connectivity options, the TV comes with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and DTS-HD Dolby Audio.

The 75-inch Mi TV 4S runs on Xiaomi’s own PatchWall interface. It features voice recognition too which is in-built. In India, the Mi TV uses the Google Assistant. The new Mi TV is accompanied by a remote with very few buttons. The TV comes with a dedicated button that helps to activate voice recognition. This is like the Indian version of the Mi TV.

Xiaomi has priced the new 4K TV very aggressively at RMB 7,999 which converts to around Rs 82,100. According to a study from Ovi Cloud, the average 75-inch TV price in China is two times the cost at around 14,239 yuan. The aggressively priced TV will go on sale through the Xiaomi Mall on November 23.
