Xiaomi launched the A1 back in September and went on sale in Black and Gold colours. Now, the company has introduced a new rose gold pain job, which will sell alongside the existing shades. The price is still intact at Rs 14,999. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart and Mi.com from November 21 onwards.
The Mi A1 is Xiaomi’s entry to the dual camera smartphone line-up, which was already heated up with the likes of Lenovo and Honor. Since it is based on Google’s Android One programme, the phone offers stock Android experience along with timely updates.
The phone offers an aluminium unibody with a sleek design. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is plonked by the same chipset as Redmi Note 4, which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. It is based on 14nm architecture and provides optimum balance in performance and power efficiency. It bears in 4 GB RAM and 64 GB on board storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot.
For camera buffs, the phone offers a dual camera (12 MP f/2.2 + 12 MP f/2.6). The rear camera can produce some impressive portrait mode shots. For selfies, there’s a humble 5-megapixel front selfie shooter.
