If rumours are to be believed, the next high-end flagship handset by the Chinese phone manufacturer is all set to hit shelves in November this year. However, there is no confirmation yet on the same by Xiaomi.
This is not the first time the Mi 5 has found itself surrounded by rumours. Back in May, @leaksfly had already talked about the handset scheduled to launch in November. Moreover, the specifications were also revealed.

If the recent rumours hold a strong base, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will feature a fingerprint scanner. However, nothing is yet known on how the scanner will actually work. According to a previous report, Xiaomi had filed a patent for a fingerprint recognition technique via the device buttons, which sounds quite innovative.
So, what can we expect from the Xiaomi Mi 5? Below are the rumoured specifications:
Snapdragon 820 chipset
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the MiUI
16 MP primary camera
6 MP secondary camera
3030 mAh battery
16GB / 64GB of internal storage capacity
With all those powerful features packed-in, the handset is sure to offer you the best smartphone experience. But, before you think of taking your excitement to the next level, keep in mind that these are rumoured specifications and have not been talked about by Xiaomi.

The specifications listed above seem to be quite different from a preliminary leak that suggested a 5.5-inch display, 8MP front-camera and a 3000mAh battery. Moreover, a few sources also pointed out to July being the month of launch. However, that didn’t happen, which means we need to wait till November.

Moving back to the latest rumoured specs, a 5.3 inch display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution should be fair enough. Not many smartphones presently sport a 16MP primary camera. Moreover, a 6MP secondary camera is sure to make selfie-lovers happy.

16GB of internal storage should be fine. If not, you might want to opt for the 64GB variant. Most importantly, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset, which has not yet been revealed by Qualcomm. The device will come preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
There is also no word yet on the expected price of the device. However, Xiaomi is known to set the price right when it comes to smartphones. So, if the Mi 5 turns into a reality, you can surely expect a price tag that rightly fits your budget.
Again, it won’t be wise to place your trust in the above mentioned features, as they are currently rumoured. Who knows? Xiaomi might come up with something more exciting?
