When it comes to budget android smartphones Xiaomi dominates the Indian market. And to further solidify its position, the Chinese manufacturer launched the new Redmi Y1 Lite smartphone. The phone has a polycarbonate body with a metal frame.
The Redmi Y1 Lite is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC. It offers 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage. It also features a dedicated microSD card slot that supports up to 128 GB storage. The phone comes with a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. The selfie shooter is a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
The Redmi Y1 Lite comes with a 3,080 mAh battery. Xiaomi claims that the battery offers up to 11 days on standby. With clever power optimisation, it can deliver up to 11 hours of video playback, 16 hours of gaming, and 35 hours of call time.
The phone will be available on Mi.com and Amazon India on November 8 at 12 noon. The Redmi Y1 Lite comes at an aggressive price tag of Rs 6,999.
