Breaking a tradition of not bringing its high-end phones in India, Xiaomi has launched the Mi Mix 2. Designed by Philippe Starck, the phone is set to cost Rs 35,999 in the country. With such pricing, it competes with the OnePlus 5 and Nokia 8.
The Mi Mix is smaller, slimmer, and lighter than its previous iteration. It has an aluminium frame to provide sturdiness to this handset with minimal bezels. The 6-inch screen offers FHD+ resolution with 2160×1080 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9.
In order to trim the top bezel, the selfie camera is unusually placed below the screen. In the photography department, you get a 12 MP Sony IMX386 camera sensor. It is equipped with 4-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation).
The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. That’s currently one of the most powerful mobile SoC in the market. On the software font, you get Android Nougat with MIUI 9 customisation.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is priced at Rs 35,999. You can purchase it starting October 17. The phone is available exclusively from Flipkart.
