Redmi has announced the launch of the smartphone in the event where it launched Redmi Watch. The latest Redmi Note 10S will be another addition to the Note 10 series including Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. The processor on Redmi Note 10S is a gaming one and the device features an AMOLED panel just like its siblings.

The smartphone has also a good optical setup where users will get a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup and MIUI 12.5 will debut in India with Redmi Note 10S.

Redmi Note 10S: Key specs & features

The aspect ratio on Redmi Note 10S will be 20:9. The output on the taller 6.43” AMOLED panel will be quite amazing, all thanks to the FHD+ resolution at 409ppi. The selfie camera will be housed in a punch-hole cutout. The peak brightness will go up to 450nits. The display and the punch-hole cutout will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and the power button comes integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

At its core, Redmi Note 10S sports MediaTek’s Helio G95 paired with 8 gigs of LPDDR4x RAM on the top variant. It will also have 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. On the software front, the device will boot on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on the top. Redmi has done some sort of improvements in its UI, now users will be able to delete a few system apps.

Coming to the opticals, the punch-hole cutout will house a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The quad-camera on the rear will have a primary sensor of 64-megapixel at f/1.79 aperture. The primary lens will be paired up with an ultra-wide sensor of 8-megapixel that will give users an FOV of 118-degrees along with dual 2MP depth and macro sensors.

The camera app features AI beauty mode, night mode, slow-mo and 4K video recording, and time lapse. The battery capacity on Note 10S will be 5,000 mAh and it will support fast charging up to 33W. Other connectivity features are dual-4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, BT 5.1, GPS, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C. The device will also have a 3.5mm audio jack. It will also come with IP53 ratings making it splash resistant.

Pricing and availability

Redmi Note 10S will go on sale on May 18 at 12 noon. The available variants will be in 6/64GB, 6/128GB storage combinations. The 64GB and 128GB will be priced at ₹14,999 and ₹15,999, respectively. The sale will commence through Mi Home, Mi.com, retail stores, and Amazon IN.
