Xiaomi, the telecom giant from China, is making a headway in wearables. After having launched the ultra-affordable Xiaomi Mi Band 2 and following its massive success, the company has now launched the Mi Band 3. The fitness tracking device is priced at US$26. The Mi Band 3 will have all the key features of an IoT powered wearable device. It will include features such as counting the number of steps taken, measuring the heart rate, It keeps all key features like counting steps and measuring heart rate as well as the ability to answer calls that are received by you.

The Mi Band 3 features a 0.78” OLED display panel. The resolution of the screen is 128 x 80-pixels. The Mi Band 3 connects through a Bluetooth 4.2. The smart wearable is powered by a 110 mAh battery, which is an improvement of 50% over the Mi Band 2. The Mi Band 3 has also enabled seamless wireless payments by incorporating a near field communication (NFC) chip.

Xiaomi claims that the battery life of the Mi Band 3 is 20 days. The company usually lives up to its claims so Mi Band users are in for an uninterrupted experience. The fitness tracking device will be available in interchangeable straps of various colours. The normal variant will be available for US$26 or roughly Rs 1750. The NFC variant will be priced at US$31 which works out to around Rs. 2080.  The device will be available for purchase in China from 5th of June.
