The Chinese tech giant has launched an all-new affordable Redmi 10 in the Indian market. This smartphone will be next in line with the 2020’s Redmi 9 and this year, Redmi is offering a few significant updates in terms of specs.

The latest addition to the Redmi lineup has already been on sale in Nigeria, rebranded as Redmi 10C. The variant launched here will be identical with its foreign counterpart. It will be offered just under the price tag of ₹12,000 and it will compete with Infinix Note 11, Realme C35, etc.

Redmi 10: Key specs & features

The 6.71” panel on the all-new Redmi 10 will produce HD+ resolution. The front camera will be housed in a water drop notch. The tech giant is offering a textured rear panel design with a square-shaped camera module. The module will also house a fingerprint scanner. Along with it, the Widevine L1 license will offer HD playback from the OTT platforms. The raised camera module will come with a dual-camera setup. The primary camera here will be a 50-megapixel sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensing camera. On the front, the notch will carry a 5MP camera.

At its core, Redmi 10 will come with a Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 6 gigs of RAM. The onboard storage will be 128 GB with an option of expansion using a microSD card. The whole package will be backed up by a 6,000 mAh battery and it will support 18W fast charging. The smartphone will boot on Android 11 with a custom MIUI 13 skin on the top.

A few connectivity features include a 3.5mm audio port, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and availability

The latest Redmi 10 will be available in three color options; Caribbean Green, Pacific Blue, and Midnight Black. There will be two RAM & storage combinations of 4/64GB and 6/128GB priced at ₹10,999 and ₹12,999, respectively. The first sale will commence at noon on March 24 through Flipkart, Mi Store, and other major retail outlets. As an introductory offer, buyers can avail ₹1,000 off on their purchase.
