In a launch event focused on introducing the Mi 11 lineup, the series will include Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite, and Mi 11i. Along with the Mi 11 lineup, the company also launched Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro and Smart Band 6. The standard variant of Mi 11 was revealed to the masses back in Dec ’20. The smartphone was the first one to debut with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. There were various speculations for the brand to add more variants to the lineup. Xiaomi is expected to unveil it in the Indian market, as soon as possible.

In the full lineup, Mi 11 Ultra is the top-notch variant that sports all the high-end specs whereas Xiaomi has fetched down a few specs to offer a more affordable Mi 11 Lite. The base and the most lightweight model in the lineup Mi 11i will sport a 4G, as well as 5G variant.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Key specs & features

With a dwarf display on the rear, Mi 11 Ultra will sport a ceramic construction, available in the contrast of black and white colors. The smartphone will have a 6.81” AMOLED panel that will produce 3200*1440 pixels and the resolution will be QHD+. On the front, the panel will sport a punch hole cutout. Xiaomi has also kept sturdiness in mind and is offering Gorilla Glass Victus on the top where the panel will offer a refresh rate of 120Hz with HDR10+ support. On the rear, on the camera module itself, there is a 1.1” AMOLED panel with always-on support to display notifications and time.

The device is 8.38mm thick with one of the best weight distributions. It weighs 234 grams and also comes with IP68 certification. The water & dust resistance will work up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. At its core, the smartphone features Snapdragon 888 SoC where the CPU is built on the octa-core structure paired with Adreno 60 GPU. Coming to the memory, Mi 11 Ultra features 12 gigs of RAM and 256 GB of onboard storage.

Moving to the rear, the smartphone features a triple-camera system where the primary lens is a f/2.0 50MP sensor. It also supports OIS. The primary sensor is paired with a 48MP 128° FOV sensor and a 48-megapixel periscope camera offering 5x zoom. The cameras can record up to 8K24fps and up to 60fps on 4K UHD settings. The punch hole cutout will house a 20MP sensor. Mi 11 Ultra will boot on Android 11 with MIUI 12 on the top.

The smartphone will also offer stereo speaker setup powered by Harman Kardon. With 67W fast charging through wired and wireless mode, the 5000 mAh battery is claimed to go from 0% to 100% in just 36 minutes.

Mi 11i: Key specs & features

The specs on Mi 11i are toned down where the screen panel is 6.67” in size. The sAMOLED panel will produce 2400*1080 pixels offering Full HD+ resolution. Like the elder variant, Mi 11i will also feature a punch-hole cutout. With Gorilla Glass 5 on the top, the panel will offer 120Hz refresh rate. The thickness of Mi 11i is 7.8mm and the overall weight is just below the 200 gram mark at 196 grams. Xiaomi has given this variant IP53 certification, making it splash resistant.

The SoC powering Mi 11i is the same as the standard Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra. It is Qualcomm’s SD 888. The device will be offered in two variants, one with 8GB RAM & 128GB storage, and the other with 8GB RAM & 256GB storage. The smartphone will boot on Android 11 with MIUI 12 on the top. The device is expected to receive the MIUI 12.5, very soon.

The Mi 11i will feature a triple-camera system with an 108MP primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture. The primary sensor will be paired with an ultra-wide 119-degree FOV 8MP sensor along with a 5MP macro lens. The punch hole cutout will house a 20MP selfie snapper.

This mid-tier smartphone in the Mi 11 lineup will offer a fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button. With 33W fast charging support, the device will have the battery capacity of 4,520 mAh. Mi 11i will also come equipped with the stereo speaker setup.

Mi 11 Lite: Key specs & features

The spec-sheet of both the 4G and 5G models of Mi 11 Lite is identical where the Full HD+ panel will produce 2400*1080 pixels. The AMOLED panel is 6.55” in size with a high refresh rate up to 90Hz. The only difference that users will see is in terms of HDR10+ support and Gorilla Glass 6 on the 5G variant whereas HDR10 support and Gorilla Glass 5 on the 4G variant.

Mi 11 Lite is also the slimmest among the three at just 6.81mm and also the lightest. It weighs just around 157-159 grams. The smartphone is equipped with Snapdragon 780G, an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.4 GHz. There will be Adreno 642 onboard for graphic-intensive tasks. The chipset is paired with 8 gigs of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The triple camera array is also the same on both the variants. It sports a 64MP f/1.79 primary sensor. It will be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro sensor. The punch hole cutout on the top-left will house a 16MP sensor on the 4G version and a 20MP sensor on the 5G version. Like its elder brother Mi 11i, the Lite model also features stereo speakers, fingerprint scanner integrated with power button, and 33W fast charging support on a smaller capacity 4,250 mAh battery.

Pricing & availability

The top-end model Mi 11 Ultra will go on sale at a retail price of 6,499 Yuan (roughly ₹71,900) for the 12+256GB combination model. The sale will commence on April 2 in the brand’s home market.

Mi 11i will be sold at a retail price of €649 (~₹55,923) for the 128GB variant and €699 (~₹60,212) for the higher 256GB variant. The smartphone will be available in Frosty White, Cosmic Black, and Celestial Silver color options.

The 4G version of Mi 11i will be available in Bubblegum Blue, Peach Pink, and Boba Black whereas the 5G version will come in Mint Green, Citrus Yellow, and Truffle Black color options.
