About a month ago Gionee launched its new device named Elife S5.5 and broke record to be the world’s slimmest smartphone with 5.5mm thickness. The record was earlier held by Vivo X Play. Now, the Elife S5.5 is set to be launched for Indian market. The company has sent out invites for the launch event to be held in Goa on March 30 and 31.
The Elife S5.5 sports a 5-inch full HD display and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS along with company’s Amigo UI. The phone is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. There’s a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera capable of taking self-group shots as well as full body selfies. The inbuilt storage capacity is 16GB and battery strength is 2300mAh. Connectivity features include WiFi Direct, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and more.
