Vivo Y91i with 4030mAh Battery Launched in India Starting at Rs. 7990

Chinese device maker Vivo has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of its Vivo Y91i. The device is a toned-down version of company’s Y91 smartphone which was launched in January with a price tag of Rs. 10,990. The move to launch a device with sub-10,000 price tag seems to have been taken to take on the likes of market leaders like Redmi, Realme and Samsung.

Vivo Y91i Price and Availability Details

The Vivo Y91i starting price in India is set at Rs. 7,990 for the base variant i.e. 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage. The company will also be launching the 32GB storage model priced at Rs. 8,490. At the moment the phone is available for buying via only offline stores across the country and there’s no word yet regarding its availability online. There are three colour options available for the interested buyers- Fusion Black, Sunset Red and Ocean Blue.

Vivo Y91i Features and Specifications

The Vivo Y91i comes equipped with 6.2-inch Halo FullView IPS LCD display offering a screen resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC along with up to 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The phone also supports expandable storage via microSD card. There’s a 4,030mAh capacity battery underneath to keep things ticking. The dual-SIM device runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Funtouch OS 4.5 on top.

In the camera department, you get a single camera on the front as well as back. The front hosts a 5-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture for selfies and video calls. Whereas the rear features a 13-megapixel camera sensor with /2.2 lens and LED flash. The camera set up comes with several features like Face Beauty, Timelapse, Palm Capture, and Voice Control.
