Vivo Y91 with Halo Full-view Display and Waterdrop Notch Launched in India

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has expanded its product portfolio in India with another pocket-friendly handset dubbed as Vivo Y91. It was expected that Vivo will launch the phone in India in the third week of January. The company has announced that the Y91 will be manufactured at the company’s Greater Noida facility.

Vivo Y91 Price and Availability in India

The Vivo Y91 is priced in India at Rs. 10,990 for the lone 2GB RAM variant and it can be purchased from Amazon.in, PayTM, Vivo India E-store and across all leading offline partner outlets. There will be two colour options available for the buyers- Starry Black and Ocean Blue.

As a part of introductory offer, the company is offering benefits worth Rs. 4,000 along with 3 TB Data from Reliance Jio, instant cashback of Rs 2,000 along with 240 GB data from Airtel. Vivo Y91 Features and Specifications

The Vivo Y91 bears a 6.22-inch HD+ display with screen resolution of 1520×720 pixels and 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with a dewdrop notch at the top and features minimal bezels on the sides. An octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC powers the device along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity of the device is 32GB which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card support. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Funtouch OS 4.5 on top and is backed by a 4,030mAh battery that is supported by a native smart power management system to boost the battery backup.

In terms of optics, the phone comes equipped with a vertically stacked dual rear camera module comprising of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture + a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture for capturing depth effect. The front hosts an 8-megapixel snapper with f/1.8 aperture for selfies and video calls.

The dimensions of Vivo Y91 are 75.09 x 8.28 x 155.11 mm and it weighs about 163.5 grams. In terms of connectivity, the phone features Dual Sim, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, FM Radio, and a micro USB port. In terms of security, the phone comes with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor as well as a face unlock feature.
