Vivo Y17 with 5000mAh Battery, 128GB Storage and Triple Rear Cameras Launched in India

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has expanded its budget product portfolio in India with the launch of Vivo Y17smartphone. The phone was subjected to several leaks ahead of its official launch leaving only pricing details to be uncovered. And now the phone has been made official by the company. Its highlights include 5,000mAh battery, 128GB inbuilt storage and triple rear camera set up.

The Vivo Y17 is priced in India at Rs. 17,990 and is already available for purchase via several offline stores across the country. It comes in two colour options- – Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple.

The Vivo Y17 features a 6.35-inch LCD display with HD+ resolutions and a tall 19.3:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there’s a Octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset built on TSMC 12nm FinFET process with 2.3 GHz clocking speeds along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In addition, the phone features an Ultra Gaming Mode that allocates system resources when the user needs them in order to enhance the gaming experience. In terms of storage, there’s 4GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 256GB by means of a microSD card. All of this is backed by an impressive non-removable Li-ion 5,000mAh battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. In terms of software, the device runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 9 running on top.

In terms of optics, the phone bears a triple rear camera set up consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture + a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor + an 8-megapixel f/2.2 Super wide-angle third sensor. The front hosts a 20-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.
