Vivo X21s launched in ChinaChinese handset maker Vivo has silently expanded its mid-range product offering by means of Vivo X21s. The device is an upgraded version of Vivo X21 which was launched earlier this year. It was a landmark device for the company as it came with an in-display fingerprint scanner which was a relatively new technology then. The company then launched Vivo X21i and now it has launched another variant i.e. Vivo X21s. The device sports a larger display and bigger battery as compared to its predecessor Vivo X21. Vivo X21s Price and Availability

The Vivo X21s price in China is set at CNY 2,498 which is roughly Rs. 26,000 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant. The phone has already gone on sale in company’s hometown China and is available in single colour i.e. Starry Night Black.

Vivo X21s Software and Hardware Configuration

The Vivo X21s sports a 6.41-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Halo FullView display panel screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, aspect ratio of 19.5:9 aspect ratio and screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent. The display is bezel-less and features a waterdrop shaped notch at the top which houses the selfie camera along with other sensors. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with AI engine along with Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device is 128GB which can be expanded up to 256GB by means of a microSD card. Notably, the Vivo X21 was available in two storage options- 64GB and 128GB.

The dual-SIM Vivo X21s runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box and is backed by a 3,400mAh battery with support for fast charging. By comparison, the Vivo X21 is backed by a 3,200mAh battery. In the camera department, you get a vertically stacked dual camera set up on the back which consists of a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture + a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 24-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.0 aperture, AR support and face recognition. In addition, the phones also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purpose.

It is unlikely that the Vivo X21s will be launched in India as Vivo recently launched Vivo V11 Pro in the country which is identical to the Vivo X21s.
