BBK Electronics’ mobile brand Vivo has been focusing heavily on the offline retail market in India. The company launched its first thin-bezel selfie smartphone V7+ back in September. And now, the brand has introduced a smaller sibling, the V7 smartphone in Indonesia. Aesthetically it retains the characteristics of the V7+ as it sports a metal unibody but with a smaller 5.7-inch HD+ FullView 2.5D curved IPS screen. It has a tall 18:9 aspect ratio providing a 83.6 % screen-to-body ratio. The display gets Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection as well.
It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest budget SoC (System on Chip) Snapdragon 450. It comprises of an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8 GHz, which is based on newer 14nm fabrication. The phone packs in 4 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It is a true Dual-Sim phone with 4G VoLTE support.
Vivo is best known for its selfie-centric phones and this one is no exception. For the millennials that are so full of themselves, it offers a 24 MP front-facing camera with LED flash. There are plenty of beautification options too. The phone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision OV16880 sensor, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), and an LED flash. The Vivo V7 runs on Funtouch OS 3.2 on top of Android Nougat 7.1.2. It draws power from a 3000 mAh battery.
The Vivo V7 will be available in Indonesia on November 18 with pre-orders starting from today. India will be getting it on November 20 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart as confirmed by the company. The Vivo V7 comes in Matte Black and Gold and is priced at Rp 3,799,000 (Rs. 18,500 approx.) in Indonesia. Expect the prices to be in the same region when it reaches the Indian shores.
