Based on the price and specs, the Vivo V15 will compete against Xiaomi’s Poco F1 and Oppo F11 Pro. The Oppo F11 Pro also features a pop-up selfie camera. The Vivo V15 is priced in India at Rs. 23,990 for the lone 6GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage variant. The phone will go on sale for the first time in the country on April 1 via both offline as well as online stores including Vivo India E-Store and eCommerce giants like Flipkart, Amazon, and Tata CLiQ. The phone will be offered in Frozen Black, Glamour Red, and Royal Blue colour options.

The Poco F1 was launched by Xiaomi in India on 22 August with a starting price tag of Rs. 20,999 for the base variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The mid variant of the phone (6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage) is priced at Rs. 23,999, while the top variant (8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage) is priced at Rs. 28,999. The available colour options for the buyers are- Rosso Red, Steel Blue and Graphite Black.

The Oppo F11 Pro was launched in India earlier this month with a price tag of Rs. 24,990 for the sole 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant. The phone is already up for grabs via all the leading online as well as offline stores in the country. It comes in Aurora Green and Thunder Black colour options.

In terms of design, the Vivo V15 features a gradient paint job that runs not just over the back panel but also on the frame along the sides. The frame as well as the back is made of plastic but the phone still looks premium for its price, thanks to gradient paint job and pop up selfie camera mechanism. The phone may look a bit bulky (it weighs about 189.5 grams) but is still comfortable to hold. The Oppo F11 Pro features a polycarbonate unibody design with triple-gradient finish. The phone looks quite premium for its price tag, especially the Thunder Black colour variant. The Poco F1 has a very uninspiring design. The phone is completely made of plastic and it fails to provide the premium look that Vivo V15 and Oppo F11 Pro provide.

The Vivo V15 features a large 6.53-inch full-HD+ InCell FullView Display with 1080×2340 pixel screen resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The notchless display (thanks to pop-up selfie camera) comes protected with a layer of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The Oppo F11 Pro features a similar 6.53-inch full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) IPS LCD display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display features absolutely no notch and thin bezels across sides.

The Xiaomi Poco F1 comes equipped with a smaller 6.18-inch display with 2246 x 1080 pixel screen resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It also gets a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There’s a wide notch at the top of the display which houses the selfie camera.

Needless to mention, the Vivo V15 and Oppo F11 Pro are at par with each other in terms of display, while the Poco F1 grabs the last spot.

In terms of dimensions, the Vivo V15 measures 161.97 x 75.93 x 8.54 mm and weighs about 189.5 grams. The dimensions of Poco F1 are 155.5 x 75.3 x 8.8 mm and its weight is 182 grams, while the vs Oppo F11 Pro measures 161.3 x 76.1 x 8.8 mm and weighs in at 190 grams. So, the Vivo V15 is the slimmest and the Poco F1 is the lightest of the three devices.

The Vivo V15 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity of the device is 64GB which is expandable further via microSD card (up to 256GB).

The Poco F1 draws its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clocked at up to 2.8 GHz along with Adreno 630 GPU and LiquidCool technology. In terms of memory, there are two options available for the interested buyers- 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage. In addition, the storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid SIM slot configuration.

The Oppo F11 Pro gets the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset under the hood which comes with AI optimisations. It comes in single variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.

In terms of performance, Xiaomi is a clear winner due to its powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.

The Vivo V15 is backed by a 4,000mAh capacity battery which comes with Vivo’s Dual-Engine Fast Charging support. The Poco F1 also comes with 4,000mAh battery with 18W charging support and Quick Charge 3 (charger bundled in box). The Oppo F11 Pro also gets a 4,000mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. Only the Poco F1 offers USB Type-C connectivity, while the other two phones feature a micro USB port for connectivity.

The Vivo V15 runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box based on Funtouch OS 9. The Xiaomi Poco F1 ships with MIUI 9.6 out-of-the-box based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The company is using a customised version of MIUI for the Poco F1 which is optimised for speed. The Oppo F11 Pro runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Google’s latest Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box.

In terms optics, the Vivo V15 gets a horizontally stacked triple camera setup on the back, which houses a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 aperture + an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture + a 5-megapixel third sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies the phone gets a pop-up camera setup with a 32-megapixel sensor and an f/2.0 aperture.

The Poco F1 gets a dual rear camera set up with a combination of a 12-megapixel primary Sony IMX363 sensor with dual pixel autofocus and dual LED Flash + a 5-megapixel secondary Samsung sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 20-megapixel camera on the front. Xiaomi claims that the AI camera is tuned for Indian market, and has scene recognition features.

The Oppo F11 Pro gets a 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual rear camera setup wherein the primary camera gets a Sony IMX586 sensor. For selfies, there’s a motorised pop-up camera with 16-megapixel.

The Oppo F11 Pro seems to have a better camera set up of the three phones, thanks to its 48-megapixel primary sensor. The Vivo V15 could be a better choice for selfie lovers due to its 32-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.

In terms of sheer performance, Xiaomi’s Poco F1 is undoubtedly the best phone of the three. It is also the better priced device of the three if you compare the base variant of 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage.
