The BBK Electronics’ subsidiary Vivo has added a new smartphone in its Indian lineup, dubbed as Vivo V21 5G. The processor used by the brand here is Dimensity 800U and it’s the same chipset that is present on Oppo F19 Pro+, Realme Narzo 30 Pro, etc. V21 5G will be the most affordable 5G-powered smartphone from this Chinese tech giant.

The key features of this latest offering from Vivo are dual front flash for selfies, with the rear setup having a primary sensor of 44-megapixel with OIS. In terms of design, Vivo has carried forward the thin and elegant build of last year’s Vivo V20. Let’s go through the key details.

Vivo V21 5G: Key specs & features

The display panel on Vivo V21 5G is a large 6.44” AMOLED that will produce Full HD+ resolution with a peak brightness of 800 nits. The smartphone will also support 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The display panel has a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera that will house a 44-megapixel sensor of aperture f/2.0 along with OIS support. The selfie camera will also offer eye autofocus, dual-view video, 4K recording, and more. The camera will also get two LED flashes and night portrait with AI.

On the rear optical setup, there is a triple-camera system that will house a primary sensor of 64-megapixel at f/1.79 and it will also support OIS. The primary sensor is coupled with an ultra-wide lens that will offer 120-degree FOV and a 2MP macro lens with focal length of 4cm. The camera app offers the same set of features on the rear camera, as well.

The device will draw its power from Dimensity 800U SoC paired with 8 gigs of RAM. Vivo is also offering extended RAM features that will be able to use up to 3GB of onboard storage to offer more memory. This feature basically adds a virtual memory that will allow users to be able to use multiple apps smoothly. The onboard storage on Vivo V21 5G is UFS 2.2 128GB and 256GB. The storage can be expanded using the dedicated microSD card slot.

The battery capacity on Vivo V21 5G is 4,400mAh battery with support of 33W FlashCharge technology. Coming to the software, the smartphone will boot on Android 11 with FunTouchOS 11.1. The rear of this latest Vivo addition has the matte glass design, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, in-display fingerprint scanner, and USB Type-C. There is no 3.5mm audio port on the device.
