Vivo has posted a teaser image of its next smartphone dubbed as the X20 on its official Weibo handle. This has put many speculations on the upcoming smartphone’s design to rest. Moreover, Vivo has also hinted that the X20 will launch on September 21.
According to the reports from TENAA, Vivo will be launching two phones X20 and X20 Plus. The X20 is expected to be powered by a 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 630 or 625 chipsets, whereas the Plus variant comes with the 660 SoC (System on Chip). These phones could come with 4 GB / 6 GB RAM options.
The Vivo X20 is likely to feature a 5.2-inch screen. The X20 Plus, on the other hand, will be a 5.5-incher. Both panels will be Full HD with 18:9 aspect ratio. The design is quite identical to the Vivo V7+, but smaller with a slim bezel.
The X20 and X20 Plus may feature 24-megapixel selfie cameras. The 16-megapixel dual rear camera is housed at the top left flanked by an LED flash. It is also being speculated that Vivo will introduce its face unlock feature ‘Face Wake’ on these devices.
The X20 devices are likely to feature metal unibody construction made. The back of the devices share similarities to the OnePlus 5. As per connectivity features, you get X-12 LTE for faster download speeds and global LTE band support. Both devices are expected to pack in non-removable 3,000 – 3,500 mAh battery packs coupled with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge support.
The devices will run Android Nougat 7.1.1 with Vivo’s Funtouch Skin on the top. In India, the expected prices will be in the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000.
