Vivo S1 with 6.53-inch Full HD+ Display and 24.8MP Pop-up Selfie Camera Launched

Chinese handset manufacturer Vivo had launched its Vivo X27 and Vivo X27 Pro smartphones earlier this month. The company was also expected to debut its S series with Vivo S1, however it did not happen. Now, Vivo has unveiled Vivo S1 smartphone in China. The device is trimmed-down version of Vivo V15 that was recently launched in India. The only differences are that the Vivo S1 features a lower resolution selfie camera and a slightly inferior primary camera. Another difference is that the Vivo S1 comes with a dedicated hardware button for accessing the Jovi voice assistant. Vivo S1 Price and Availability

The Vivo S1 is priced in China at 2,298 Yuan which roughly translates to Rs. 23,800. There are two colour options available for the users- Ice Lake Blue and Pink Hues. The pre-order for the phone has already started and the sale will begin from April.

The Vivo S1 sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio resulting into screen-to-body ratio of 90.95 percent. There’s a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC underneath to keep things ticking along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.  For enhanced gaming experience, the Vivo S1 is equipped with Game Turbo. It runs FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box. All of this is fueled by a 3,940mAh capacity battery with 18W rapid charging powered by Dual Engine charging technology. In terms of security, the phone comes with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

In the imaging department, the Vivo S1 features a triple rear camera module which is placed at the top left corner of the device and consists of a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.78 aperture + an 8MP wide-angle secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture + a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there’s a 24.8MP shooter on the front with AI Face Beauty function that can identity 103 basic facial features.
