In its Y series, Vivo has added a new 5G variant, under the name Vivo Y73s, to the Chinese market. It will also be the debut smartphone from Vivo to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 chip. Additional features are AMOLED panel, fast charging, in-screen FPS, tri-camera housing, etc.

Vivo has launched the Y73s in a single variant and the smartphone will be available from Oct 16 in China. The device is already on pre-booking and there are no details regarding foreign availability.

Vivo Y73s 5G: Key specs & features

The latest offering from Vivo, Y73s 5G, will sport FHD+ resolution on an AMOLED 6.44-inch panel. Along with this resolution, the smartphone will also offer HDR10 and 103% NTSC color gamut. On the rear, the smartphone will house a triple camera array and you will also get a gradient design on the back panel.

The triple camera housing will have a primary lens of 48MP, an ultra-wide of 8MP, and a 2MP sensor for portrait shots, i.e., depth sensor. The waterdrop notch will house a 16MP sensor and the camera interface will offer features like 10x digital zoom, 4K video, EIS, night mode, and macro mode.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 chip on 8GB RAM. Vivo Y73s will have onboard storage of 128GB. The device will boot on Android 10 out of the box with a custom FunTouch OS v10 skin on the top. With the 18W fast charging support, the smartphone will have an average-sized 4100 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, Vivo has covered everything like USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio port, in-built GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-4G, etc.

Pricing & availability

Vivo Y73s 5G will come in two color variants, Black Mirror and Silver Moon. The pricing for both the variants will be the same at RMB 1,998 (roughly ₹21,211). There is no information on the device’s foreign availability.
