The Chinese tech mogul Vivo has launched its all new X60-series in the Indian market. The lineup will include X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+. The younger duo, X60 and X60 Pro will sport Snapdragon 870 at their core whereas the eldest Vivo X60 Pro+ will feature Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 888.

A few highlights:

  • The X60 lineup will include three variants, a standard X60, X60 Pro, and the high-end X60 Pro+.
  • The sale of the whole lineup will commence on April 2.
  • The base variant will be available at a retail price of ₹37,990.

For the optics, Vivo has signed a collaboration with high-end lens manufacturer Zeiss. The concert will bring advanced features like Zeiss Biotar Portrait Mode to the table. A feature that makes these Vivo phones stand out is the inclusion of virtual memory. It translates to bumping 8GB RAM to 11GB and 12GB to 15GB. However, it can be turned off from the Settings section. All the three models sport a quite responsive in-display fingerprint scanner.

Vivo X60 & Vivo X60 Pro: Key specs & features

With a curved AMOLED panel of 6.56”, Vivo X60 and X60 Pro offer 240Hz touch sampling rate and 120Hz of screen refresh rate. The panel produces FHD+ resolution with 2376*1080 pixels. The smartphones will sport a glass sandwich design having Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and the back.

At the core, the duo features Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with Adreno 650 graphics card to offer better gaming and other graphic-intended tasks. The base model Vivo X60 comes with an option of 8/12GB RAM along with 128/256GB onboard storage. However, X60 Pro is only offered in 12/256GB combination. The battery capacity on both the smartphones is 4,300 mAh and 4,200 mAh for X60 and X60 Pro, respectively. Vivo has offered fast charging support up to 33W.

Coming to the optics, the standard X60 sports a triple-camera on the rear with a combination of 48MP+13MP+13MP. The punch-hole on the front will house a 32MP sensor. The primary 48MP lens is a Sony IMX598 with Vivo’s indigenous OIS. Along with super macro, the camera app also offers ultra-wide and standard night mode, long exposure shots, portrait mode, video recording, etc.

The elder brother Vivo X60 Pro also sports an identical camera setup with only a single change that is in terms of stabilization offered on the primary lens. On X60 Pro, it’s Gimbal Stabilization replaced by OIS. It is capable of capturing more stable shots.

On the connectivity front, the duo sports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C port. Both the smartphones will boot on Android 11 with FunTouch OS skin on the top.

Vivo X60 Pro+: Key specs & features

The eldest among the three Vivo X60 Pro+ shares the display specs with its younger siblings. The panel is 6.56” AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate. The only difference is that it supports HDR 10+.

At its core, Vivo X60 Pro+ sports Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 12 gigs of LPDDR5 memory. The onboard storage is UFS 3.1 256GB. With such high-end specs, Vivo has also managed to offer an amazing weight distribution where the smartphone just weighs 191 grams. The battery capacity is 4,200 mAh and it comes with FlashCharge support. This tech will charge the smartphone at 55W.

The camera module on Vivo X60 Pro+ is a quad setup having dual primary cameras. The sensors for the primary camera module are 48MP and 50MP. The former is a Sony IMX598 sensor with GS whereas the latter is the GN1 sensor equipped with Vivo’s own OIS. This model of the X60 lineup also has the high-end 100MP Super HD mode. Apart from this setup, the smartphone also features a 32MP sensor dedicated for portraits along with an 8MP periscope lens. The punch-hole cutout will house a 32MP sensor for selfies.

Connectivity features are also almost identical with the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro. There is a slight difference with the Bluetooth, the Pro+ model sports BT 5.2.

Pricing & availability

Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro will be available in two color options, Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue. The eldest of the three, Vivo X60 Pro+ comes in two options, one with vegan leather back and other in the Emperor Blue color. The pre-bookings are already on and the whole lineup will be available at all the offline retail stores and on e-commerce platforms, Amazon and Flipkart. The retail price for the standard X60’s 8GB and 12GB variants will be ₹37,990 and ₹41,990, respectively. The X60 Pro and X60 Pro+ will go on sale at a retail price of ₹49,990 and ₹69,990, respectively.
