Vertu Aster PA year after announcing the shutdown of its operations. Luxury smartphone brand Vertu has risen from the dead to launch its latest smartphone dubbed as the Aster P. The phone was launched at an event held in Beijing, China. The premium smartphone sports a European-style back case design made using titanium alloy frame, real leather (crocodile and lizard) at its rear and sapphire glass screen. Titanium provides twice the strength of stainless at just half its weight and sapphire is next to diamond when it comes to hardness.

Each phone is built by specific craftsman, who signs the device that came out of his expertise and the signature is engraved on the phone. The phone has a trademark wing design on the back with flaps that open up to reveal the dual-SIM slot and the craftsman’s signature. It retains its special Ruby Red concierge button which allows users to access 24×7 high-level of personalized support from Vertu’s professional team providing services to help users in travel plans, booking a table for dinner and more. Vertu has provided its owners with an access to exclusive invite-only events.

Vertu Aster P Pricing Details:

The Vertu Aster P comes in two series- Baroque and Gothic. All phones in Baroque come in four colour options i.e. Black, Gentleman Blue, Caramel Brown, and Twilight Orange and are priced at CNY 29,800 which is roughly Rs. 3.15 lakhs. The Gothic series comes three colour options. The Black Jade and White Moon colour options are priced at CNY 35,800 which is roughly Rs. 3.89 lakhs, while the Dazzling Gold colour option is priced at CNY 98,000 which is roughly Rs. 10.40 lakhs. All the variants have already been listed on JD.com and the shipping will start by the end of this month i.e. on October 30.

The company has also announced special Baroque version in brighter colors such as Gentleman Blue, Twilight Orange, and Caramel Brown. However, there is no info available yet on the price and availability details of these variants.

Vertu Aster P Software and Hardware Configurations:

In terms of specifications, the Vertu Aster P is 4.9-inch AMOLED FHD display panel with 1080×1920 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage (which is double than that of its predecessor). There is no microSD card slot to further expand the storage. In the camera department, you get a 12-megapixel sensor on the back with dual-LED flash. While, the front hosts a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and panoramic view for selfies and video calls. All of this is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. In terms of software, the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box.

From security standpoint, the Aster P features an encryption technology that prevents SMS and call records from leaking, as claimed by the company. In addition, the users can also use the app to remotely lock and even delete all data in case the phone is lost or stolen.
