Telecom giant Huawei recently beat Apple for the second place in the world’s largest smartphone maker. The throne belongs to the Korean brand Samsung. To sustain its position in the world market and to strengthen it even further the Chinese company has some interesting smartphones in the pipeline scheduled to launch in this calendar year.
The Chinese firm is reportedly working on a device codenamed Huawei RNE-ALOO, which surfaced recently in TENAA certification. If you haven’t heard of TENAA yet, it is a telecommunications equipment certification center in China. Following the current trend of bezel-less designs courtesy of Samsung Galaxy S8, MI Mix 2, LG G6, and the recently launched iPhone X; this particular smartphone will sport a 5.99-inch Full HD display. It will pack-in 2160×1080 resolution and in a peculiar 18:9 aspect ratio. Huawei has always refrained from using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC’s (System on Chip) in the past and this device is not an exception. It will be powered by company’s own octa-core Hi-silicon Kirin processor clocked at 2.36 GHz with 4 GB of RAM. It may come with 64 GB internal storage and expandable storage of up to 256 GB via a microSD card.
Huawei is known for delivering some excellent camera phones such as the Honor 6X, Honor 8, Honor 8 Pro, and the Huawei P10. Mulling over this fact, you can expect some dual lens camera wizardry in the upcoming phone. The smartphone is a metal unibody device weighing at 164 grams. The fingerprint sensor is housed just below the dual cameras at the rear. The smartphone may come with Android Nougat or Oreo when it launches. The battery pack is a non-removable 3240 mAh one.
