BlackBerry’s recently launched KeyOne was the most distinctive looking smartphone off late. With that handset, BlackBerry and its licensing partner TCL resurrected the classic physical keyboard. For the next round, the company is working on a full touchscreen smartphone. It is targeted at people who are invested in Android platform but are looking for a secure phone. Courtesy @evleaks, known for providing information on upcoming phones, we know how the next Blackberry Motion looks like.
The phone seems to sport a metal frame with rounded edges. The company isn’t jumping on the thin-bezel bandwagon just yet. The Motion has thick bezels at the top and bottom. The home button may double up as a fingerprint sensor. You can also spot a USB Type-C port, bottom firing speaker, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
As per other leaks and speculations hovering around, the panel will be Full HD. Much like the KeyOne, the Motion will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC. The device packs in 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It will come with a massive 4000 mAh battery. The Blackberry Motion is also said to receive an IP67 rated body for dust and water resistance.
It will come loaded with the DTEK security software and other mainstays such as BBM and Blackberry Hub. The DTEK security software provides a live status of the device and one can monitor its vulnerability to threats and control its services accordingly. Blackberry promises over the air monthly security updates to keep it secured.
