Xiaomi has launched two new Mi Notebooks at a launch event in China. The two new Mi laptops enable the company to now foray into the affordable segment of the laptop market.

The new Mi Notebooks come in two variants of display screen size – 15.6-inch and 13-inch. They are powered by the Intel Core i3 processor. They are comparatively cheaper than the Mi Notebook 13″ and 15.6″ that is powered by 8th-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors.

The new Mi Notebook Air 13-inch comes with a price tag of RMB 3,799 which roughly converts to Rs 40,000. The 15.6-inch variant of the Mi Notebook comes at a cost of RMB 3,099 which roughly converts to Rs 32,999. The Mi Notebook Air 13-inch is available for sale through Xiaomi’s official website while the 15.6-inch variant can be pre-ordered as of now. This variant comes in a deep grey colour option. The company has yet not announced its plans for the India launch of the Notebooks.

Both the Mi Notebooks sport an IPS display that comes with Full HD resolution of 1080 pixels. The Notebooks feature thick bezels all around. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by Intel’s 8th-generation Core i3 processor that is complemented by 4GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD storage. The 15.6-inch Mi Notebook offers a dual-fan cooling system that enables to keep the device cool even if it is used continuously for a long time.

The 13-inch variant also possesses the dual-fan cooling system. It is wrapped in a metal body design and weighs around 1.3 kg. It measures 14.8 mm in depth. The other features of the laptop include a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and authorized access capabilities. The device also embeds AKG-tuned speakers with Dolby surround sound to augment the audio experience for its users.

As for the battery life, the Notebook can last up to 9.5 hours in a single charge as per the company.

Both the Notebooks run Windows 10 OS out of the box. They offer a plethora of connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI port, USB ports, etc. Xiaomi has not yet revealed much about the graphics card in the devices or the battery capacity.
