If reports are to be believed, iPhone lovers are in for a treat this year! The Cupertino based company is supposedly planning to launch THREE new iPhones in 2015 to enchant more users into joining the iPhone league. The three new models are likely to be a new 4-inch iPhone model, a 4.7 inch iPhone 6s, and a 5.5 inch iPhone 6s Plus. The 6s and 6s Plus will be successors of the popular iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus respectively while the 4” phone will be a completely new handset.

Glasses free 3D display

According to reports, all the three models will be equipped with low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) panels from Japan Display Inc., which means that the phone will have a higher and better resolution with more pixels per inch. When it comes to specs, Apple intends to leave no stone unturned to bring the best to these models. While the 4” phone will have the A8 chip that is currently found in its latest models, the 6s and 6s Plus will be powered by a newer Apple A9 chip. All three will likely have 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM. These specs are sure to augment the reputation that Apple holds for its fast and smooth functioning iPhones. The 6s might be the bearer of advanced technology; a Taiwanese website reports that the 6s will feature a glasses- free 3D display!

Finger print

To help out the clumsy iPhone user, all three models will come with Corning Gorilla Glass for screen protection and additional durability. It will have NFC technology as also fingerprint scanning for security. Another rumor that many iPhone users are hoping is true is one which says that Apple is trying a pink colour for its new models! Certain camera upgrades are supposedly in the offing too with these new models.

Apple force touch technology

The latest Apple Force Touch technology might take form in the new models. This feature senses the kind of touch that the user uses, be it a gentle tap on the screen or a deep press. This technology will help in designing different gaming apps and apps that allow the user to play a musical instrument like a piano with the phone being able to distinguish between a light tap and hard press.

If reports are true, then the 6s and 6s Plus will be manufactured by the Taiwanese companies Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron. The third model will most likely be manufactured by Wistron, another Taiwanese company. Production of the components is likely to start in May with a probable launch month of September for all three models.

With Apple already selling more than 5, 00,000 units of iPhones in India in the fourth quarter of 2014, it won’t come as a surprise if the numbers increase manifold in the coming quarters with the launch of such promising handsets.
