With the latest iPhones going official, the rumour mill is now focusing on Google’s upcoming phone. The tech giant is gearing up to unveil the new generation Pixel smartphones on October 4. Courtesy of the multiple leaks, it is clear by now that there are two versions of Pixel phones for 2017, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. But, before Google unwraps its devices, @evleaks has killed most of the suspense by posting press renders of the Pixel 2 XL.

The Pixel 2 XL is being manufactured by LG for Google and takes its design cues from the G6. As apparent in the image, the Pixel 2 XL has slim bezels, but not as thin as that of the Galaxy S8 or the iPhone X. You can see stereo speaker grilles flanking the display on the top and bottom. The image also reveals some software features. There’s a widget which displays appointments from Google Calendar, followed by the Date, Time, and Weather information. The application icon pack sports the circular shaped design as was in the previous Pixel devices.
Other rumours suggest a single lens camera unit at the rear. So, Google is not yet jumping on the dual-lens camera bandwagon yet. The Pixel 2 XL might also get IP68 certified body for dust and water resistance.
