There have been a lot of speculation regarding the Galaxy A5 over the last couple of months. Though many rumours point towards the A5 2018 sporting an Infinity display, there hasn’t been a concrete evidence of the same. Hence talking about the design language or screen sizes will only add to the disarray. However, a latest test result from Geekbench sheds light on the underpinnings of the device there. Identified as SM-A530F, the global variant of the Galaxy A5 (2018) will be based on Samsung’s Exynos 7885 chipset.
There’s a good reason to believe that there will be another variant meant for the Chinese market, as the previously spotted SM-A5300 was based on Snapdragon 660 SoC (System on Chip).
The 2018 refresh of the Galaxy A5 could make an appearance towards the end of 2017 or early 2018. And based on its track record, Samsung will most likely launch the Exynos variant in India. Expect the phone to pack-in 4 GB and an AMOLED screen.
