The All New Glassed Up Samsung Galaxy S6 Rumored To Be Launched at MWCby Rajshree Faria February 28, 2015
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 to be launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week has already generated internet rumors about its design and specs. The mobile universe is abuzz with speculations about Galaxy S6 with most revolving around its supposed all glass body. Internet reports are abound that the S6 will sport a glass panel on both, the front and the back, making it similar to the Nexus 4 and iPhone 4 in terms of its exterior.
The Galaxy S6 will be a dust and water resistant with advanced fingerprint sensor for all the user’s security needs. The 5” AMOLED capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels will come with the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for added protection and durability. The 1.3 quad- core and a 1.9 quad- core processor along with 3GB of RAM will surely impress even the most demanding multitasker. The phone will run on the latest Android Lollipop.
On the camera aspect, the primary camera is expected to be a whopping 20MP with optical image stabilization, face detection technology, autofocus with LED flash. It will also be able to geo-tag and take panorama shots. It will be able to record videos of the best HD quality and if reports are to be believed, it will have dual-video recording features. The secondary camera will be 5MP again, with a dual-video recording feature. Taking selfies and video calling will never be more fun!
Other unconfirmed reports suggest that the phone will come with an inbuilt battery i.e. the user will be unable to manually remove the battery. Additionally, there appears to be no provisions for a microSD card slot either. However, if the phone will be made available in the 32GB, 64GB or 128GB variant, then external memory support will not be an issue. Another great (and hopefully true) piece of rumor is that the phone will have wireless charging! The phone could be made in Charcoal Black, Copper Gold, Electric Blue, and Shimmery White colors. The pricing estimate is of around Rs.55000, which will make it a premium buy.
Although mere speculation, it would be nothing but a pleasant confirmation if the S6 does have that all-glass body and impressive specifications as mentioned. The combination of design, power and durability will definitely make it popular with the users. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that the MWC brings some big announcement from the Korean brand.
