There’s a new player in affordable voice calling tablet market- Swipe. The company has launched a 6.5-inch Halo Fone tablet with 3G connectivity support with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. The dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) tablet is now available on e-Commerce giant Flipkart.com in Black colour.
The 6.5-inch Swipe Halo Fone tablet is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK6572 processor along with 512MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Internal storage capacity is 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. There’s a 2MP primary camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include- 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and GPRS. All of this is backed with 2800mAh battery capacity which can deliver up to 150 hours of standby time and up to 6 hours of talktime.

Earlier this month Swipe launched a budget smartphone named ‘Sonic’ with dual-SIM support for Rs. 7399. Swipe Sonic features a 4.0-inch WVGA screen with 800x480p resolutions, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (MSM8625) processor, 512MB RAM, 2MP primary camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera, 4GB internal storage and 1500 mAh battery.
