The latest flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S5, is now officially on sale in India. The South Korean teach giant launched the S5 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 at Barcelona in February and it went on sale worldwide in 125 countries since Friday, 11th April. The smartphone comes with a price tag of around Rs. 51,000. Online megastore Flipkart.com has listed the phone from Rs. 50,990 with an EMI option starting from Rs. 2370 and standard delivery in 6-7 business days.
The Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The phone is powered by an octa-core processor combo named Adonis Prime2 (Quad 1.9 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz) along with 2GB RAM. It runs on Google’s latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. There will be two memory variants available- 16GB and 32GB with an option to expand up to 64GB via microSD card. In terms of camera there’s a 16MP primary camera and a 2.1MP secondary camera. The battery capacity of the device is 2800mAh which can provide up to 21 hours of talktime on 3G network.
