South Korean tech giant Samsung recently launched its latest offering for budget segment by means of Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones to combat the threat posed by mid-range giants like Xiaomi’s Redmi series. The newly launched M series has gone on sale in India for the first time via Amazon.in and Samsung’s official online store. Notably, India is the first country where Samsung has started selling the M series smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 Launch Price and Offers

The Galaxy M10 is he cheaper of the two variants which is priced at Rs. 7,990 for the base model with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The top model with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is priced at Rs. 8,990. Whereas the Galaxy M20 starts with a price tag of Rs 10,990 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while the top variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,990. Both the devices are available in either Charcoal Black and Ocean Blue colour options.

As part of the launch offers, Amazon India is giving total damage protection plan for the Galaxy M10 at Rs. 699 and for the Galaxy M20 at Rs. 1,199. In addition, the company is also offering no cost EMI offer for a duration of up to 6 months. Samsung has also partnered with telecom operator Jio to offer 4GB data per day on Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 recharge packs.

Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 Features and Specifications

The latest Galaxy M series comes equipped with good set of features and specifications for its price. There is a good initial response to both the handsets and Samsung seems to have taken steps in the right direction to capture the lost market share, especially in the mid-range smartphone segment.

Both the Galaxy M10 and M20 are equipped with Samsung’s Infinity V displays that aim to offer an immersive viewing with near bezel-less design and a small notch at the top. The Galaxy M10 features a 6.2-inch HD+ Display with 720×1520 pixel screen resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio, whereas the Galaxy M20 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Display 1080×2340 pixel screen resolution with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy M10 is powered by an Exynos 7870 SoC along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card. While the Galaxy M20 is powered by Exynos 7904 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB. The battery capacity of Galaxy M10 is 3,400mAh (lacks fast charging support), while the Galaxy M20 is backed by an impressive 5,000mAh capacity battery with fast charging support.

Both the phones run Samsung Experience 9.5 UX based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. In the camera department, you get a same dual rear camera set up on both the phones which comprises of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The Galaxy M10 gets a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, whereas the Galaxy M20 gets an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. For security purpose, the Galaxy M20 features a rear mounted fingerprint sensor but the Galaxy M10 offers a face unlock instead of a fingerprint sensor.
